Complaints
In order to better serve the population, the Ministère du
Développement durable, de l’Environnement et des Parcs has made 9 service
commitments, set out in its Service Statement. Two of the commitments
concern the following:
-
Environmental complaints
If the purpose of your complaint is to signal an activity
that may be violating the laws and regulations that protect the environment
and ecosystems, you can contact the Centre de contrôle environnemental,
which is responsible for treating environmental
complaints.
Where delay can cause irreparable harm to the environment,
immediate action is necessary. The Ministère's environmental emergency
service can be reached at any time by calling, toll free, 1 866-694-5454.
-
Compliance complaint with respect to action
taken by a wildlife protection officer
Wildlife Protection Officers are governed by the Code de déontologie
des policiers du Québec. If you are dissatisfied with action taken by a
Wildlife Protection Officer, you are entitled to appeal to the
Commissaire à la
déontologie policière.
If you are dissatisfied with service or the way it was
provided, we ask that you first contact the officer’s manager. If you remain
dissatisfied after this step has been taken, you may contact the
Bureau des plaintes sur la qualité des services of the Ministère du Développement durable, de
l’Environnement, de la Faune et des Parcs at the following address:
