Parc national Albanel-Témiscamie-Otish
project
In partnership with the Cree Nation of Mistissini, the Government of
Québec has proposed the creation of the parc national
Albanel-Témiscamie-Otish (provisional name). The park project will bring to the fore the
natural, cultural and historic heritage of this vast area of over
11,000 km2.
Public hearings
were held
in Mistissini (proceedings)
on January 14, 2006 and in Chibougamau (proceedings)
on January 15, 2006. The
Bureau d'audiences publiques sur l'environnement (BAPE) tabled its
report which was released on November 10, 2006.
The provisional master plan has been subdivided to facilitate
downloads.
