Government Sustainable Development Strategy 2008-2013

A Collective Commitment

On December 12, 2007, Québec Premier Jean Charest tabled the Government Sustainable Development Strategy 2008-2013 in the National Assembly. The strategy follows in the wake of public consultations held in the fall of 2007. On the basis of its vision, directions and objectives, the Strategy forms the basis for the framework of the government’s sustainable development initiative, which calls for the participation of all government departments and agencies, as well as Québec society. With the adoption of the Strategy, the Québec Government is implementing a key element of the Sustainable Development Act passed in 2006.
