The Comité interministériel du développement durableThe Comité interministériel du développement durable (CIDD) has been in existance since April 1991. A preferred tool for collaboration in matters pertaining to sustainable development within the Québec government, the CIDD brings together, under the guidance of the Ministère du Développement durable, de l’Environnement et des Parcs, representatives from all departments and a number of government agencies. Mandate The CIDD is first and foremost an arena for discussion, information and promotion of sustainable development. It supports and accompanies the Ministère du Développement durable, de l’Environnement et des Parcs in the realization of mandates conferred to it by the Sustainable Development Act. To this end, it encourages the concertation and harmonization of various interventions carried out within Québec’s public service. The CIDD will help monitor and implement the Governement Sustainable Development Strategy and produce periodical progress reports and implementation reports required by the Sustainable Development Act.
